Famous Inventors and Inventions


ATravel back in time with the extraordinary Ada Lovelace, a pioneer in the world of STEM. During the session the children will be introduced to a number of famous inventors and inventions, so please do let us know if you wish us to include anyone in particular!


During this workshop, the children will:


  • Explore what qualities make a good inventor
  • Understand what it was like to be a pioneering woman at this time
  • Create a timeline of famous inventors and inventions, including Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison and Timothy Berners Lee
  • Become revolutionary inventors

Space Travel Workshop


Meet Sally Spade, space travel enthusiast, as she takes your class on an exploration that will be out of this world! Through team work, role play and improvisation the children will explore why humans venture from Earth into space.


During this workshop, the children will:


  • Learn the order of the planets through drama.
  • Explore through improvisation how Neil Armstrong felt on his journey to the moon in 1969.
  • Use pictures for inspiration creating a timeline of Space Travel.
  • Act out a poem about the first men on the moon.
