British Values Workshop
In this fun, action-packed workshop, we look at how British Values have evolved and what they mean for us today. Guided by our character ‘Judge Jesse’, with the use of song, improvisation, poetry and role play, the children will be encouraged to think about the importance of ‘values’ and what it means to be part of and contribute to, the dynamic and diverse society we see today.
During this workshop, the children will:
- Understand the meaning of Tolerance, Democracy, Rule of Law, Respect, and Individual Liberty
- Create a Timeline to explore the history of each British Value
- Learn a song celebrating democracy
- Perform a Poem about the importance of kindness
“The Drama Hut were amazing, very helpful and accommodating while we were making the arrangements for the workshop to take place. The actor who came was excellent with the children and kept them engaged at all times. She was very informative while also making the workshop fun and exciting. We will use The Drama Hut again for future workshops in our school.”

Wellbeing, Friendships and Resilience
Join Alice on an adventure through the looking glass and enter a fun space to gently explore complex themes of friendship, resilience, and wellbeing.
During this workshop, the children will:
- Role play some of the characters from Alice’s story to explore their own friendship issues.
- Tackle feelings of confusion through structured games.
- Learn how breathing activities can reduce anxiety and stress.
- Perform a poem about Alice’s adventures to help explain the themes of wellbeing explored within the workshop.

Wellbeing Workshop - Moving on
This workshop is aimed at Year 5 and Year 6, looking to help boost children’s confidence as they prepare to move from primary to secondary school. During this session, we focus on ‘the voice’ and how by using it effectively, we not only build confidence and resilience, but improve communication skills.
During this workshop, the children will:
- Explore the voice in relation to the whole body: breathing, anchoring, resonance, and articulation
- Discover how the voice works: experimenting with how to create and control sound
- Discuss different situations when you may need a confident voice: school assembly, reciting a poem in class, or simply getting your point across during discussion
- Look at coping strategies to combat any anxiety felt from the thought of public speaking
- Teach the children how to enjoy their voice and take charge of the space they are working in
